Preprint Requirements

8-1/2" x 11" up to 11" x 14" maximum. Daily Oregonian, FOODday, or Oregonian with This Week. Minimum quantity 10,000. Sunday preprint minimum is 100,000 Quantities must include 2% overage. Requires .007" minimum thickness.

One preprint with same content distributed on multiple days in same week counts as one frequency, if same piece inserts.

"This Week" is The Oregonian's non-subscriber newspaper and is carrier-delivered to non-subscribing households in Multnomah, Clackamas, Washington and adjacent Yamhill County by ZIP codes. This Week, when combined with a weekday preprint, earns the daily Oregonian/This Week rate. This Week, when combined with a Sunday preprint, earns the Sunday rate.

Preprint Frequency Discounts — Requires Contract

13x - 39x preprint discounts available on rates listed above. Discounts are based on frequency within ROP contract year and require a preprint insert contract to qualify.

13x = 5%     26x = 10%     39x = 15%

Insert charges count as revenue inches toward completion of ROPcontracts. Total distribution quantity must be a minimum of 100,000 in order for the This Week drop to qualify for contract frequency.

Tab pages based on 30 lb. stock, 143.75 sq. in. maximum. Up to 11" x 14" accepted. Other dimensions and weights submit for quotation. Weekday distribution quantities should be verified with your account representative 60 days prior to insertion for accurate totals. Inserts of fewer than 8 pages, folded size must be printed on MORE THAN 30 LB. STOCK. All folded edges must be on long side. Daily piggybacked preprints must be received pre-inserted.

Sunday Zone A = Distribution of 300,000 to 90% of full run
Sunday Zone B = Distribution of minimum 100,000 up to 299,999
Daily Zone = Distribution of fewer than 200,000
Sunday plus TMC will be billed at Sunday rates; daily plus TMC will be billed at daily rates
Paid and TMC quantities can be combined

Shipping requirements for The Oregonian Daily and Sunday preprints:

- Deadline:must be received at plant 10 days prior to insertion date.
(Thanksgiving inserts must be received 14 days in advance.)
- Deliveries accepted 7 days a week from 7 a.m.to 10 p.m.
- Bill of lading should include number of skids and number of copies per load, publication date and total number of copies. Name of advertiser should be on outside of carton or pallet. Inserts eight pages and above should be in turns of 50 to 100 and lifts of 100 to 200 on standard skids or pallets.
